Aurian joined the Study Abroad Office in December 2022. As an International Programs Coordinator, Aurian collaborates with NC State faculty and staff on short-term programs for the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, the College of Natural Resources, and the College of Education. She is also in charge of study abroad course scheduling and transfer credit management.
Aurian holds an M.A. in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Mount Holyoke College. During her junior year of undergrad, Aurian studied abroad in Kyoto, Japan at Doshisha University. After graduating from Mount Holyoke, she participated in the Japan Exchange and Teaching program (JET) where she taught English for three years in Miyazaki prefecture.
Prior to joining the Pack, Aurian worked as an Education Abroad Advisor at the University of Alabama. She was also chosen to be a NAFSA RISE Fellow (2022-2023 cohort). Outside of the office, you can find Aurian trying new restaurants, singing, watching East Asian dramas on Netflix, and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
