Group Program Proposal and Renewal Timeline

New program directors should meet with the Study Abroad Office three months prior to the proposed program deadline (and at a minimum, one month prior) to discuss program plans and in order to meet the proposal deadline. Proposals are reviewed by a committee approximately 2-3 weeks after the deadline. Any programs changing program location, program directors, and/or courses offered must submit a new program proposal. If your program has not run in over a year, you must submit your application by the Proposal Deadline.

* Deadline is the year proceeding the program start date. Example: A new Summer program running in 2025 will have their proposal application due on May 1, 2024

Please note: any programs that fall outside of traditional study abroad exchanges, direct enroll, or short-term group programs must be reviewed and approved by the Study Abroad Advisory Board and the Substantive Change Committee as appropriate. This includes any semester-length group programs (not exchange or direct enroll).
