Pre-Departure Conference

Fall 2024 and Academic Year 2024-2025 students

All accepted Fall 2024 & Academic Year 2024-2025 students are required to attend the Pre-Departure Conference, which will be on Thursday, March 28 from 5:30-9pm in the Mountains Ballroom on the 3rd floor of Talley Student Union.

At the conference, student attendees will choose between several 30-minute information sessions ranging from saving money to health & safety while abroad. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and connect with other students traveling to their region, and talk through next steps with their study abroad advisor.

Should I live with a host family while studying in Ecuador next semester? How can I increase my cultural competence? Who else is studying abroad in Prague with me? All these questions – and many more – are addressed at the Pre-Departure Conference.
