English Proficiency
An exchange applicant may prove English proficiency by one of the following:
- Resident of a country where English is the official language and English is the language of instruction in higher education (see proficiency exceptions below).
- English proficiency exam scores that meet the minimum requirements in the tables below as indicated for undergraduate and graduate studies.
- Home institution letter of support, signed on official letterhead, that indicates that the nominees meet sufficient English proficiency requirements:
- Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): B2 or higher for undergraduate studies (bachelors) and C1 or higher for graduate studies (masters and PhD programs)
- Successfully completed at least one year of full-time study from a higher-education institution whose instruction is in English.
Students with scores in the lower range are strongly encouraged to enroll in one English Course for second-language learners (FLE).
