Walk-In Advising

Congratulations on finishing the semester strong – We hope you have a great summer!

Now is a great time to start thinking about studying abroad this summer. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or would like to explore programs. Our walk-in advising schedule will be posted at the beginning of the school year.

Exploring study abroad opportunities? Students can meet with a study abroad advisor in person on a first-come-first-served basis during walk-in advising hours. No appointment is required.

Walk-in hours offer the opportunity to meet with study abroad advisors and peer advisors to explore study abroad opportunities, get started with choosing a program, find answers to introductory questions and hear first-hand about the study abroad experience from current students.  Walk-In appointments generally last about 15-20 minutes. Students applying for a semester/academic year program are still required to meet individually with an advisor.

Depending on your area of study or program interest, you may prefer to meet with one of our sister offices:

Peer Advising

The Study Abroad Office has regular peer advising opportunities to allow students to learn more about program options, the application process, and preparing to go abroad – directly from their peers! If you’re interested in hearing a student perspective, we welcome you to attend one of our in-person or virtual peer advising events. Stay tuned for Fall 2025 Peer Advising information once the semester begins.

Virtual Peer Advising

Virtual peer advising has ended for the Spring 2025 semester. Fall 2025 information will be posted once the semester begins.

Individual Advising

Students applying to semester exchange programs are required to meet for individual advising. Once students start an application and complete the Study Abroad 101 requirement, they will be prompted to schedule an appointment with a study abroad advisor.

Not sure which program to select? Start an application for your first choice program and if you decide to switch to an alternate program, it’s no problem! Your study abroad advisor can help.
