Program Director Workshops and Training

Program faculty and staff trainings are offered annually by the Study Abroad Office. Session topics sometimes rotate to provide relevant and varied information to support those leading group programs.

Annual Fall Workshops

New Study Abroad Program Director Orientation

Held early in the fall semester, the orientation is required for all new program directors. The training includes an overview of academics and the global knowledge GEP co-requisite; risk management, health, and safety; budgets and finances; reviewing student applications/student queries; orientations; and program timeline.

Study Abroad Marketing and Recruitment Strategies

This early fall semester session is for new and returning program directors to review recruitment strategies for group programs to ensure healthy program enrollments. Following the session, the Study Abroad Office typically holds a reception to welcome back returning faculty and staff from summer programs and to connect regarding upcoming programs.
