Walk-In Advising

Exploring study abroad opportunities? Students can meet with a study abroad advisor in person on a first-come-first-served basis during walk-in advising hours. No appointment is required. Walk-in advising is intended to be brief, is exploratory in nature, and does not fulfill the individual advising requirement for semester/academic year study abroad applicants.

There are two weekly offerings for walk-in advising: Tuesdays from 12-3pm in the Global Engagement Hub in Talley Student Union and Wednesdays from 1-3pm in the Study Abroad Office on the third floor of Holmes Hall.

The last Walk-in advising for Spring Semester will be the week of April 15 (April 16 for the Global Hub and April 17 for the Study Abroad Office). If you questions, please reach out to study_abroad@ncsu.edu.

Depending on your area of study or program interest, you may prefer to meet with one of our sister offices:

Individual Advising

Students applying to semester exchange programs are required to meet for individual advising. Once students start an application and complete the Study Abroad 101 requirement, they will be prompted to schedule an appointment with a study abroad advisor.

Not sure which program to select? Start an application for your first choice program and if you decide to switch to an alternate program, it’s no problem! Your study abroad advisor can help.
