Walk-In Advising
Exploring study abroad opportunities? Students can meet with a study abroad advisor in person on a first-come-first-served basis during walk-in advising hours. No appointment is required. Walk-in advising is intended to be brief, is exploratory in nature, and does not fulfill the individual advising requirement for semester/academic year study abroad applicants.
There are two weekly offerings for walk-in advising, starting August 27th and August 28th for fall 2024: Tuesdays from 11am-2pm in the Global Engagement Hub in Talley Student Union and Wednesdays from 1-3pm in the Study Abroad Office on the third floor of Holmes Hall.
Depending on your area of study or program interest, you may prefer to meet with one of our sister offices:
- Poole Global (for Poole College of Management Students)
- NC State Prague
Individual Advising
Students applying to semester exchange programs are required to meet for individual advising. Once students start an application and complete the Study Abroad 101 requirement, they will be prompted to schedule an appointment with a study abroad advisor.
Not sure which program to select? Start an application for your first choice program and if you decide to switch to an alternate program, it’s no problem! Your study abroad advisor can help.
Have questions about a study abroad program, need additional resources about finances, or anything in-between? Email the Study Abroad Office at study_abroad@ncsu.edu. Please allow at least 2 business days for a response.
Applying for a group program? Contact the program director with any program-specific questions. Director contact information is listed on the program-specific page at packabroad.ncsu.edu.
