Info Session – Czech Republic: Public History in Prague

Through Czech Republic: Public History in Prague, students will learn about the diverse meanings and representations of the past in the present. This unique, interdisciplinary program will provide students with hands-on educational experiences focused on public history, European history, preservation, museums, tourism, cultural heritage, and memory. Students will gain first-hand experience connecting with cultural heritage professionals and a range of stakeholders as they visit cultural and historic sites. This program will also include travel to the cities of Vienna, Austria and Bratislava, Slovakia to expand students’ understandings of the broader historical context of Prague and the Czech lands in the Habsburg empire until 1918.
