Housing

Exchange students have several options for housing in Raleigh. On-campus housing requires an application through MyPack Portal.

Residence Halls

There are over 20 residence halls on campus. Some are traditional-hall style, others are suites, and some are hotel-style; rooms are shared between two people. On campus housing is not guaranteed, and space may be limited. Students are encouraged to apply for housing as soon as they receive their Unity ID.

Living and Learning Villages

An NC State "Village" is a community of students with shared academic, personal or lifestyle interests. Each village is unique and has different requirements. Village applications can be very competitive, but past exchange students have stated that living in a village was the highlight of their time at NC State.

On-Campus Apartments

On-campus apartment provide students with the convenience of living on campus with some extra privacy and independence. Rooms are private with a shared kitchen and fully-furnished living area.

Off-Campus Housing

Exchange students are not required to live on campus. There are several student-only apartment complexes near campus where students may make their own arrangements. For recommendations, please contact the Incoming Exchange Coordinator.
