Banking in the U.S.
Accessing money from a foreign bank account can be expensive. Students who come to the U.S. with a lot of money are advised to open a bank account as soon as possible.
** Students with existing health insurance will have the opportunity to waive out of coverage
Students can view their bill at any time on their MyPack accounts. All charges must be paid by the billing deadline indicated, shortly following arrival. Students should frequently check their account status, as they may not receive a paper bill for all charges.
Methods of Payment
Students can send money from their home country with a wire transfer. Create an account on Flywire in order to send payments to NC State and track funds along the way. It's a good idea to compare exchange rates before deciding on a payment method.
