For a general overview of orientation events, please reference the descriptions below. Specific details for each event will listed in your orientation schedule. Don’t forget to check your folder to find out information about your immigration check-in, academic advising appointments, and immunization appointments. Some orientation sessions are organized by group, so it’s important to keep track of your assigned group number and letter.

Orientation Support

Before arrival, exchange students will be contacted by their CCAP Ambassador(s). Ambassadors work with small groups of new international exchange students, international transfer students, and international degree seeking students to help them prepare for their arrival at NC State. This program aims to enhance students’ success and experience for both the new students and the ambassadors. Ambassadors will meet their groups during orientation, invite students to events around campus, and remain in contact with them throughout the semester.

Students who have studied abroad in past semesters will also be helping with orientation events. If you see one of these students, ask them where they studied abroad!

Tuesday, August 13th

If you are living on-campus, you will be able to move into your new home for the semester beginning at 9am!

Now that you are at NC State, make sure you obtain your student ID card and bring $5 to add to your account for printing.

Welcome to campus! Volunteers will meet you and fellow new students to walk to Hillsborough Street for dinner and shopping at Target.

Wednesday, August 14th

New international undergrads and Multicultural Symposium students are invited to come relax after orientation Day One and celebrate your arrival at NC State! There will be something for everyone, with pizza, a movie theater, time to chat or play soccer outside, etc. Join us and continue getting to know your fellow members of the Wolfpack!

Volunteers will meet you and fellow new students at the Pizza Party and walk to Target to purchase all your new room essentials!
