Health & Safety at NC State

While at NC State, all incoming exchange students should have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Student Health Center

Student Health should be the first stop when students have any medical questions, concerns, or problems. Professionals on-site can refer students to off-campus medical services or take care of writing medical prescriptions, routine laboratory services, and doctors visits without leaving the campus.

Learn About Care Provided on Campus

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center provides care for all students experiencing personal, academic or vocational problems. Many services are free to currently enrolled students, including exchange students. Students may utilize this resource for culture shock, grief, stress, or if they would like to discuss any other concerns.

Make an Appointment

Campus Police

NC State Campus Police are available to support all students. Students facing an emergency situation can call Campus Police at 919-515-3000. In addition to emergency support, Campus Police can also provide an escort for students when walking across campus late at night.
