NC State Prague Institute
The Prague Institute offers the opportunity for any student to study for a summer, semester or year in Prague through a variety of design studios and general education courses. The Institute offers specially designed semester programs in architecture, glass studio, fashion and costume design, digital photography, design and multimedia. Summer offerings include many more!

SHORT TERM PROGRAMS

Germany: Innovation & Design (Summer)
For innovation and design to be relevant in the marketplace, there must ultimately be some benefit to the user or customer. Additional optional GEP courses can be taken in place of the design course. Credit: BUS 495 and ID 490.

South Africa: Water Woes, People, Parks & Pollution
Spend the summer in Kruger national park, one of the largest conservation areas in the world! Together participants with local African citizens will explore the complex social and ecological challenges facing communities as they aspire for clean water. College of Design participants will complete 6 credits of ADN 490 Documentary Digital Film or LAR 582 International Landscape Architecture Design Studio. Students will be introduced to the major production aspects of documentary film making.

Learn traditional embroidery techniques and the history of stitching in the British Isles through a series of field trips. Credit: ADN372 and ADN 492.
