- All students studying abroad on an ISEP Direct Enroll Program will be billed for insurance directly by ISEP. This will fulfill the mandatory UNC system insurance requirement. See ISEP Health Insurance Costs.
The Study Abroad Office requires that all students enroll in international health insurance while abroad. We also strongly recommend students remain enrolled in a domestic insurance policy. This will ensure coverage in the U.S., in the event that a student must return home for medical treatment.
Students in these programs will need to contact Melissa Dutton (firstname.lastname@example.org) in Student Health to request enrollment in the Student Blue insurance for the semester or year abroad. The cost per semester is $688. An additional Student Health Center fee of $138.51 can be added for use of the Health Center before and after the program. Students will not be automatically charged or enrolled.
