The Spain: Language and Culture in Valencia study abroad program has over fifteen years of experience serving the NC State’s community. The program offers a comprehensive and enriching 5-week experience for the student interested in learning more about the language, culture, literature, and art of Spain. The city of Valencia is the third largest metropolitan area in Spain, rivaled only by the capital Madrid and Barcelona. It is a diverse and cosmopolitan city, offering a fascinating combination of centuries-old structures and historical sites alongside cutting-edge modern architecture. Valencia’s climate and culture are also ideal, as it is centrally located along the Mediterranean Sea, with beautiful beaches, world-class cultural and sporting events, and wonderful restaurants. Students will stay with host families in Valencia, which allows them to be fully immersed in the culture and society.
