Embark to Excel Virtual Conference on Study Abroad, Diversity and Global Student Leadership

As part of International Education Week at NC State, the Study Abroad Office is hosting a virtual conference presented by DiversityAbroad.com and IES Abroad.  All students, faculty, and staff are invited to join us to learn more about issues related to Study Abroad, Diversity and Global Student Leadership. Attend as many sessions as your schedule allows.

Studying abroad is no longer a luxury; in fact, it is an essential experience on the path to global leadership. Embark to Excel Virtual Conference aims to provide students of diverse backgrounds with the information, advice and resources to help them map their pathway to study abroad.

Sessions will address topics that pose your greatest challenges to studying abroad – including innovative study abroad funding options; navigating across cultures; rising popularity of study abroad in emerging economies; and perceptions of racial, ethnic and religious difference abroad.

The sessions will feature study abroad alumni and professionals of diverse backgrounds, who will share their experiences getting to and through study abroad, and its impact on their lives and careers upon return to the US. Presenters from the study abroad field will also help you maneuver through the study abroad process and answer questions specific to diversity and identity abroad.

Staff from the NC State Study Abroad Office will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and provide additional information, as well.
