Graduate Students

Eligibility

In the United States, undergraduate students are seeking their first university degree (bachelor’s degree) after high school. Undergraduates must enroll in at least 12 credit hours to be considered full-time students at NC State. If you are working on your first degree at your home institution, please apply at the undergraduate level.

Graduate students are those who have completed one or more bachelor degrees at a college or university. Graduate students must enroll in at least 9 credit hours per semester. Graduate students wishing to enroll in more than one undergraduate course should contact the Incoming Exchange Coordinator about their course plans.

Please note: To be considered for study at the Graduate-level, official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended, including the bachelor’s transcript containing statement/verification of degree awarded and the date awarded must be submitted to the Study Abroad Office.

Full acceptance of an exchange student applying for graduate status is contingent upon approval by the Academic Department to which the student is applying.
