Mallory joined the Study Abroad Office in December 2014. She advises students on semester study abroad opportunities in the Americas, the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Australia and the Pacific Islands. She also coordinates all faculty-led programs from the College of Natural Resources, and oversees study abroad outreach efforts.
Mallory has a Masters in Spanish Language and Literature and undergraduate degrees in International Studies and Spanish from NC State. As an undergraduate at NC State, Mallory studied in Peru, the Czech Republic, and Spain. She also led a group of high school students abroad to Costa Rica and Nicaragua on a Broadreach program and spent a year teaching English in Madrid after graduation. Prior to coming back to NC State, Mallory worked in the Center for Global Education at the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University in Minnesota with all of the incoming international exchange students.
Mallory believes that one of the best ways to learn about ourselves, the world, and our place in it is by studying abroad and she looks forward to helping students make study abroad part of their college experience.
