Why did you choose to study abroad?

I wanted to grow as an individual by experiencing another culture.

What did you learn about yourself?

I enjoy learning about a culture that’s different from mine.

What was one of your favorite parts of your program?

Hiking and canyoning in the French Alps.

What advice do you have to future study abroad students?

Bring clothes for cooler weather.

How were your classes abroad different than if you would have taken them at NC State? Did you take any field trips or do anything outside of the traditional classroom?

I loved that we never sat in a traditional classroom. We visited a different part of the French Riviera every day with our two professors. We toured most places on our own as a group, but we also had a few different lectures from professionals in the area.

Would you do it again?

Definitely.
