American Airlines has partnered with the NC State Study Abroad Office to offer the Global Leaders Program. American Airlines truly values the global and cultural benefits of the study abroad experience and hopes to continue encouraging the participation in these types of programs.
About the Program:
The American Airlines Global Leaders Program is an exclusive scholarship and discount program offered to students enrolled in four-year universities planning to study abroad.
Scholarships:
Three scholarships are awarded every year. The AA scholarship is awarded to one student who will study abroad during the fall semester, one student who will study abroad in the spring semester, and one student who will study abroad during the summer session. The students selected for the scholarship will receive a free round-trip ticket from American Airlines to the location where they will study abroad. Please note: If American Airlines does not provide service to the student's study abroad location, round-trip airfare will be provided to the closest location that American Airlines provides service.
Download the scholarship application here (also called the Ticket Award Form).
