Marketing and Recruitment

The Study Abroad Office (SAO) coordinates the overall marketing of study abroad opportunities to students on campus via the SAO website, Study Abroad Fair, and by utilizing the campus electronic Billboard system and social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, and Notes from Abroad student blogs.

The SAO trains past study abroad participants as Peer Presenters for classroom presentations and tabling at events on campus throughout the year.  Upon request, the SAO can table at departmental events to help promote the department’s or college’s programs.

Faculty directors have a significant role in recruiting students to their study abroad programs. The SAO provides suggestions for Marketing and Recruitment Techniques and has hosted a Marketing and Recruitment Roundtable to aid faculty in their efforts.
