Marketing and Recruitment

The Study Abroad Office coordinates the overall marketing of study abroad opportunities to students on campus via the Office website, Study Abroad Fair, and by utilizing the campus electronic Billboard system and social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, and Notes from Abroad student blogs.

The Study Abroad Office trains past study abroad participants as Peer Presenters for classroom presentations and tabling at events on campus throughout the year.  Upon request, the Office can table at departmental events to help promote the department’s or college’s programs.

Faculty directors have a significant role in recruiting students to their study abroad programs. The Study Abroad Office provides suggestions for Marketing and Recruitment Techniques and has hosted a Marketing and Recruitment Roundtable to aid faculty in their efforts.
